Adding Tasks and Other Evidence in the Advanced Template

Previous Topic   |   Next Topic   |  Return to Contents

Click the orange Stage 2: Evidence title bar to open the stage 2 section of the advanced template. Click the "+Add New" link next to either the Tasks or Other Evidence section title. The pop-up box opens and presents you with a two part form.

add evidence

On the first page of the form, you'll give your Task or Other Evidence a custom title, which can be a creative title describing the evidence. You'll also create a standardized title using the drop-down of categorized task and evidence types. Enter a general topic in the box next to the drop down to complete the standardized description.

On the second page of the form, accessed by clicking the "2. Details" link, enter a description or instructions for what the student is expected to do in the task or other evidence. For tasks, also specify the amount of differentiation offered in the task as being major or minor. Finally, click the "add" button to save your work. The pop-up closes and the new assessment appears beneath the corresponding section header, surrounded by a blue border.

You can edit the title and description by clicking the "Edit Details" link on the right side of the title box. You'll also find icons there for deleting and sorting the Task or Other Evidence.

You will likely want to align your proposed evidence to the relevant Stage 1 Desired Results as well as build rubrics for assessing student performance. Those options are found by clcking on the assessment title and selecting from the other options below.
